Pioneer Middle School Garden Still “Growing” Strong

Thanks to Jose from the YES program and some helpful classified staff members, the Pioneer Middle School garden, which was established in 2014, is still “growing” strong.  Winter veggies were recently planted and new wood chips put in place.  Principal Angel Valdez wants to make sure the garden stays viable and ready for when students will hopefully return to campus in the future.  Pioneer Middle School has historically partnered with the FFA program at Strathmore High School for seedlings but with the Covid Shutdown that is not possible this year.
