Job Bejarano is pretty proud of his EAT Pathway senior project. Recently Bejarano had the opportunity to share his work with potential Pathway students from Sunnyside Elementary School during one of the Pathway Tours.
Bejarano, Strathmore FFA secretary, is staying busy with this unique project that combines raising fish in large filtered tubs and piping their waste by-products to aquaponic planting beds.
In addition to Bejarano’s project the students from Sunnyside got a full tour of the facilities including the Crop Box which regulates light and temperature for growing produce.
And the greenhouses where the students were growing marigolds for an upcoming Dia de Muertos event.
